Default '19 Street Glide lighter than '19 Road King ???

How? Why? No fairing, no boom box heavy speakers and extraneous electronic poop. Is it in the wheels and headlight shell? Inquiring minds want to know.

I find it pretty hard to believe. I just went and checked the website and sure enough
King 836lbs
SG 829lbs
RG 855lbs.

I'm thinking there might be some fudge in the numbers...

Since they're all based on the same platform, it depends which features are most important for you.

2 pound difference as shipped. 7 pound difference in running order.

Street Glide has a bigger front wheel

There could be some difference in the wheels and tires. The heavy RK windshield probably weighs as much as the fairing on the SG (not counting the boom box).

Add that to the RK's auxiliary lamps and hardware, saddlebag guards, passenger footboards, rear lights, bigger seat... I could see it all adding up.

Having ridden the Road King, I'm gonna guess it's the cement seat they put on it.

The weight depends on the features that are most important? I don't follow.
