Default Colorado does it again!

Heard rumors, now its confirmed. Anyone under 18 needs a helmet as of July 1st. Bet the DEM. that proposed this is from Denver. I'm not totally opposed , but shouldnt this be a voting thing? Government justs keeps getting bigger and bigger. Guess i better get my youngest a helmet.

Not a fan at all of the government running our lives.
When it comes to the safety of our children I can't argue
with them telling us what to do.

Why cant they pass a law against cell phone use while driving. $500 for first offense. If they need revenue that would surely get it.

You reap what you sow...To date, no one I know who rides here in Denver has recieved a ticket for loud pipes...I think the law was intended for those people who choose to ride like idiots or have noconsideration for the general population when it comes to thier loud exhaust. I own guns (I think it's my right)...I'm not going to start target shootingwith 'em in my backyard @ 1:30 AM...it tends to **** people off. Same deal with my bike...I'm not going to be romping through downtown or anybody's "hood" rattling my pipes just because I can...it tends to **** people off.

Wow. I have not even heard anything about this and I'm in Denver. Wearing a helmet is a good thing I guess for kids but I like to hit an open country road without a helmet with my daughter

Unfortunatly, any idiot can be a parent. Some kids just need to be protected from their parents. Sad, but true. Can't argue with this law; although I'v not heard of it until now.

NP with that law. One of the benefits about becoming a legal adult, is that you can (within the limits of the law), unnecessarily endanger yourself if you choose to do so.

Kids haven't yet earned that priviledge.

Those that argue against it, probably also disagree with the use of child safety seats for infants.
