Default Waxing full face visor?

I'm heading out on a road trip tomorrow thru the northwest. I know I'm gonna run into rain, no big deal. In the past I've used pledge on my full face visor to help water bead off. While sipping on my favorite bevy the other day I thought about waxing the visor with a paste wax do do the same thing. When I wax my truck the water beads right off. Why not on the visor? Has anyone tried this??? Results?

I use RainX for plastic, NOT glass. Apply just like the other RainX. Lasts a long time.

I don’t have a helmet with a visor but I use turtle wax clear spray wax on the hard coated windshield for my Polaris RZR. It works great at beading up the water and letting it just roll off. Makes it much easier to clean too when mud gets slung onto it. I don’t see why it would hurt a helmet visor.

I wax the windshield on my Street Glide every time the bike gets waxed. no issues there. I've never had a full helmet with shield, but used to wax my goggles when I raced and went dirt bike riding.....
It can't hurt!! Have heard about the Rain-X for plastics but have not tried it. I swear by Rain-X on my vehicles.

I think the visor is made of a different material than windshields. With that being said I've also read where the petroleum distillates in some waxes could cause "crazing" in some windshield/visor materials. I'd try the Rain-X for plastics first.
