this is the OP.

My instructor (a motor cop friend) says we’re good to two up.

I ordered the equine anti slip stuff. That and her experience will fix the problem.

not at all interested in your physics jibber-jabber.

But .... please continue .... without me.

My club’s motto is “STFU and ride”.

She will get better over time. A lot of it is in the legs and foot grip on the pegs. My OL was raised riding horses (still does and her own Harley now) and she took to my Sporty back when we met in '81 like a crack dealer to the corner. I had a few before her that never could catch on.

And assless chaps are not safety gear- they're a costume. Anyone on a road-going motorcycle should be covered from the neck down in dead cow.
That is your opinion, not gospel.

I can't hang off in corners, but other than that, I can accelerate and turn as hard as I want, and I can corner up to the limits of the ground clearance of the motorcycle with her sleeping on the back.
Whereas my wife can not reach the tank while on the back of either of my motorcycles, so it's not one size fits all now is it?

Seriously though, can you mount a backrest to your bike? There's the obvious benefit to you. Me wife mentions that she feels a tad more secure when we ride with the backrest on my Ultra.
