id honestly like to see one year sales numbers. I dont want them to fail, i want them to build something that sells well and looks good so i can want to justify a 2nd bike but as it stands theres no reason.

for what purpose? What possible validation do you need here? We get it, you don't like the bike. But that doesn't mean nobody else can. stop being such a self-absorbed snowflake SOB.

Better gas mileage though. These aren’t touring bikes. 165 miles on a full tank isn’t bad. It’s only 30 miles less than the previous models. Most people stop every 100 - 150 miles to fuel up and stretch their legs anyway.
OP, thanks for the review...
While I agree that most fuel up between 100-150 miles, I still want a tank that gets me at least to 200 miles. Also agree that HD did a great job with the Softails in general, but any of the bikes using the sub 4 gallon tank is a deal breaker for me. Do want to test ride the Sport Glide and Heritage....or maybe not since my bike is paid off.
Also, I LIKE the look of the new Fat Bob. It is a nice aesthetic difference in a sea of very similar looking bikes from HD. If the FB had a 5 gallon tank, I would be very tempted to get one.
Good review - thanks.
I like the look because so many other folks think it's ugly. Yeah, I'm like that.
I'd buy one if my garage wasn't already full (and friggin GEICO just upped my insurance rates for some unknown reason).
If you want the handling of the Fat Bob, but don't like the looks, then get the Sport Glide, it handles the same, and has a more traditional look, plus it has the saddle bags for some storage, and you can get a trunk for it to make it a nice weekender bike.

now, the sport glide is the bike the fat bob should have been. not bad looking at all.

nope. last weekend the dealer had a demo day and I rode the Fat Bob and Sport Glide back to back. the Sport Glide is a piece of ****. and the two bikes have different rake and wheelbase, so they can't handle "the same."
