Default ride to work? yay or nay

i have mixed feelings about it. some days i feel like riding, some days i don't. i only ride when i feel like it. but i take crap from guys who ride every day regardless of the weather, blah blah blah. but my thought on it is i'm usually half awake and dragging *** to work so why put miles on the bike that i'm not enjoying? it seems like these guys are typically new to riding, and have something to prove. curious what anyone elses thoughts are.

Back in the day, I rode to work every day for 14 years, it was my job. If you ride NorCal or SoCal, riding to work is necessitated by the need to lane split.

I ride to work when I feel like it, my springer is usually just out side the gate by it's self. The jap bike riders normaly leave theirs at home.

I sure wouldn't let anyone else dictate when I rode my bike or not.

We have 2 vehicles and my Harley in the garage. And I have my pickup in the driveway.
Some days I ride the bike, and other days I drive my truck.
Just depends on what my plans are for the day, or what mood I am in.

I ride because I enjoy it. If you are not going to have fun riding what’s the point? Some guys ride through anything but unless there is a reason I avoid bad weather. And riding when you are overly tired is asking for trouble.

Sometimes I do, but the friggin traffic on the way home is brutal. Way too many idiots these days. When I lived in Socal i used to every day like Upflying, but I do not live there anymore.

I try to ride to work as often as I can. I find my ride on the bike is WAY more enjoyable than in the car. Also I'm trying get as much seat time as possible as winter is coming.

I enjoy riding to work and get at least 1 or 2 days a week in. My commute is the most beautiful I've ever had so that certainly helps a lot. It begins on a single lane through a bunch of horse ranches, down a winding mountain pass where it dumps out onto the Oxnard plain and farm after farm. The smells are wonderful and traffic is minimum. There was a period of time where I did not own a car for about 5 years so I rode every day, rain or shine. Some of that can get old after a while. Anyone who gives flack to a rider for not riding is a dipshit in my opinion.

I used to ride to work every day unless there was a bad rain in the forecast. Doppler was my friend. But I get off work at midnight and my night vision sucks now so I do avoid it.
