Don't let other guys control you.

If you want to or not, it's YOUR choice, not theirs.

I'm retired but when I worked I would ride on days where it wasn't likely to rain on the way home or be super hot or super cold. I usually worked 2nd or 3rd shift so had to ride in the dark at some point but work wasn't that far away. I never gave anyone crap for riding or not riding, nor got any from anyone, nor would I take any crap from someone over it if they had.

Yep! That is exactly right. I live in Westlake and work in Oxnard near the port. The commute doesn't get old.

1.4 miles to my office, not worth it. I have a take-home rig now anyway.

Hell yes!

Down in So Cal so almost everyday is great to ride and its what I do. Older I get the more I hate dealing with So Cal idiot traffic and CANT stand being in a cage stuck in it..... Seems to get worse every year.... Usually the Dyna is my choice, fun as hell and makes lane splitting a breeze.... Occassionally the Streetglide comes out if I need storage to or from work.... But yeah, Im one of the minority that rides way more miles then drives here.....

Only in a cage if it rains BEFORE I leave for work.

I live about 20 miles out. On days when there are a lot of people depending on me to get in, I take the car, truck or Jeep. On light, quick days when the weather is good, I'll slip in on one of the bikes.

Same with the bay area and the traffic patterns are changing monthly around around here with all the housing construction and traffic app's people are using to avoid the main arteries. I've recently added another 10 mins to my target times because of the increases. Took this job 4 years ago it'd take 15 mins to get there, now even with the bike I leave 40 mins early and make the door with maybe 5 mins to spare, my truck that breaks down to an hour or more for 9 miles depending on time of day. Bikes the only way I keep my sanity out here, I couldn't lane split don't know what I'd do.

Ride to work, and once at work, ride between the different buildings, some are 50 miles away (shortest route) on the clock, so I get paid to ride, best of both worlds!

I ride every day it isn't raining when I leave and probably won't be raining on the way home; all year regardless of temperature. Of course, I don't ride when it is snowing or there is ice or snow still on the roads from a recent storm.
