I really doubt they were on Twitter or Farcebook.<sic>

I am stuck behind them for aprox 15kms just due to limited passing lanes and oncoming traffic. I feel my own hair getting grayer, but since I started bikin last year I am learning to relax and just allow the stupid folks more elbow room.

I notice a LOT of older riders here (just like me, 55 next week) and I have to wonder.....these riders in their 50's, 60's, 70's, and hopefully 80's surely HAVE to be smarter than Ma and Pa Kettle that I followed into work today. Otherwise they'd be laying dead in a ditch or wiped out at the next intersection.

Do you guys n' gals thinks that bikin' keeps you sharp? It's not why I got back into riding a year or so ago, but I do hope it's one benefit I hadn't thought of.

I don't know about making my brain smarter, it certainly makes it more tired.

Unplug the cable. If you can learn to live without television you will feel mentally and physically better. It is depressing to see people center their lives around staring at that damn screen.

I have a nice plasma screen I use to watch a movie or series now and then. I am entertained by good story telling.

Riding and off roading away from civilization keeps me based. I am an autodidact and enjoy learning new things, technology, philosophy, and working on my toys.

Being active keeps your mind sharp. Riding is certainly good for you.

I’m 75 ride 2014 Dyna WG. Rode dirt bikes for 35 years before getting back into street bikes.
What was the question again?

I think it does. It surely can’t hurt.

Prior to my retirement I had an elderly patient that was a long time motorcyclist. He told me a joke once which was "What's the difference between two old guys with Alzheimers driving around lost in the country, one on a motorcycle, and the other in a car? The car driver is panicking and the biker is still enjoying himself and as long as he can get gas doesn't give a ----"
