Reminds me of the sexy Ducati ads from back in the day. Ain't gonna happen with Harley. Harley is courting women riders. Sexy women in ads are perceived as objects instead of people.

OTOH, I'm not really helping the MoCo out much either, as I've owned the same Harley for 25 years.
Yeah I didn't listen to my parents either. Also, its a damned shame H-D makes or made a bike that lasts so damned long....kinda answers the question why they cost so much (Cost is usually the gripe with rice riders, they are always like "my Yamaha is a 1300 for less than what that 883 costs" or some crap like that)

My son is 34. He would buy a Harley if they weren't so expensive. Has a 2007 Suzuki C50. Not as nice as a Harley, but it was only $2,700.

Most of those stereotypes are not true where I live. Plenty of adventure seeking, hard working, young people. They don't buy Harleys because they are too expensive. Period.

Yes, but used Sporties are under 5 grand, Dynas are under 7 etc. Do't know about Softails, never look at them. Touring FLH are under 10 grand. Obtainable used if someone really wants to be out there on a H-D.

Instead of sexy ads, you have women having sex.

I have a friend that sells new and used Harleys at a dealership. He said "The people Harley wants to buy motorcycles can't afford to buy the steam off a hot dog". His comment wasn't a knock on young people; I think it was just a statement based on his efforts to sell them bikes.

May be a sign of the times. Ever since the 'economy tanked" (which I believe was an adjustment by the powers that be) no one really has the disposable income. People in my area are jumping for joy over a $15.00 an hour job. $15 an hour was average back in the 90's IMO. if you are making $15 an hour as a man, your wife is probably the bread winner, or you still live at home, or you are in a small apartment barely getting by. Either way, you most likely aren't walking into the H-D dealer and financing a new scoot....
