If I were going with a half helmet, I would most likely go with the HJC Half Helmet. It has padding and I believe it will do a good job on safety.

The most comfortable I have found is the Gmax half helmet. I have tried HJC, Outlaw, and Daytona. All pinch the side of my head.

Crazy Al's, World's Smallest DOT, the WSB (world's smallest beanie) are the same helmet, as you said "Crazy Al's in another name". The other brand I've seen sold beside them at the same price may been a different helmet but looked very similar.

I have the crazy al's. Like everyone said before, it's probably not the best for protection, but if it were up to me, I wouldn't wear a helmet at all.

I did notice that if I wore a half helmet from Harley (with crazy mushroom head), it stuck out so much on the sides that it actually would catch the air and feel like it was pulling my head off my shoulders. Always ended up leaving me with crazy neck fatigue by the end of the day.

Very noticeable reduction in that with the Crazy Al's.

I have both the AK66 and the Crazy Al's. I'd say the Akoury is a touch better made, simply because of the liner quality. I can't speak to differences in fit, as I bought the Crazy Al's a size too small but decided to keep it for passengers.

You must be a youngster to think pushin 50 means a full face helmet on trike with the wife heading to the farmers market on Sunday morning and back
Whereas I am consumed with worry over whether these jeans make my butt look fat.

I don't have one but, these are the new kids on the block. They have a smaller and safer helmet. Kirsh Helmets.
