Thanks for all the great comments! I haven't been to one in just about 50 years. These pictures really don't tell the story. This hill is TOUGH! And I mean REALLY TOUGH! I think only 1 in 7 or 8 bikes even made it over the top. One poor guy went all the way except for his rear tire stopped at the very brink. Think I heard some bad words from about 1,000 feet away on that one. Yeah these guys (and one girl) gotta be nuts! Seems to me that its a hard way to wreck a very expensive bike (and body).

The bike with the HD engine in it sounded nasty. In almost a bad way at times like it was slamming off the rev limiter so badly that it was about to grenade at any moment. Cool to watch the torque take over when they hit the top section of the hill with it though.
Some of those nitro bikes sound like jet skis ripping across a choppy lake.
