I just ordered a set like this for my '09 FXDC tank. I've seen them repro'd from multiple sources, but I'm not sure what year/model its actually from. I've seen similar winged logos on a few different Evo-era Wide Glides, but haven't been able to figure this one out. Anyone know what it came stock on?

I don't think that Sporty is stock, but the Shovel FLT maybe.

 

It was never a Harley logo/emblem. It was an aftermarket sticker or decal that goes back 30/40 years.

 

Early eighties MoCo...I've seen them on Tour Glides, and Softails, maybe there were others...and respectfully disagreeing with Hey Man...they were OE decals...in my recollection...

 

A little more googling based on the info Tom84FXST posted, looks like it was original to '81-82 FLTs.

 

Hey Reindeer can't help with your question... But dang man your gold leaf sticker teaser in the "what did you do to your Dyna..." plus this post has me thinking you've got something really nice and unique headed our way. Looking forward to seeing your progress.

 

My 1981 Ironhead had that logo, but in gray, not red. Other than drag pipes and the air cleaner, the bike was stock when I bought it

 

Perhaps I'm wrong but I thought that winged style was only in gray in like 81-82.


However there were some others colors that at times were also available but in a somewhat different design. If I'm wrong I stand corrected.
