Hi everyone I was wondering if anyone could help me with my engine numbers
I have a evo engine and I don't have the original frame so I was wondering if anyone knows how to check the engine numbers only to make sure it's all good to go ty
Make an appointment to see the auto theft investigator at the state police/trooper/highway patrol. Ask them to run the engine number for you. That will tell you if the engine is hot and perhaps what frame VIN the engine was originally installed in. Not all states register engine numbers with VIN numbers..California does.
If all is good, buy a frame with a title and mount your engine in it..
I just want to make sure the engine isn't stolen . It was on a custom bike . And the vin numbers are not the same . This is why I want to see if there is a way to run the engine numbers only ty
I don't think the NICB link will or can run an engine number.
AFAIK, there is only one website that will hot check an engine number. Only auto theft investigators and insurance claims agents have access to it.
