Default Paint Job

Interested in hearing of anyone that has changed the color of their bike! Painted to a different color and if so where you happy with the results! I'm sure the prices are across the board on cost but if you could include how much you paid that would be great! I'm very happy with my bike and the color of my currant bike and the fact I picked it up for a extremely low price but Vivid Black keeps calling me back!
thanks

Instead of painting you may want to see if anyone with vivid black tins would be interested in swapping with you

Sure I have had a bike painted to a different color. Of course I have been happy with the results. You have a blank canvas with a black bike. Much easier to have a custom job of pin striping as opposed to a full blown color change at a fraction of the cost. This is something I have also done.

I went from Blue to Black on my Electra-Glide. The original paint was beginning to show it's age. It was a lot of work because of all the parts. Every piece had to have EVERYTHING removed, even the hinges on the trunk lid. Had some graphics ghosted in with the Blue.
It turned out very well, and has been durable. Sorry no pics handy right now

I love black. But I also like to be a bit different. It seems that 75% of the Harleys you see out there is black. And, my deluxe was black when I bought it.

I had paint done on it a couple years back and while I kept from of the black I brought in a couple other colors to set it apart. Emerald green and bare metal silver, The bare metal silver is actually the bare metal, sealed and top coated with clear. I really like it. All top off with some hand striping.

wyndnface, I really like that paint job. Well executed and classic looks!

I got this far on my 2004 Road King with a custom batwing fairing and turquoise stripe, I never could decide if I wanted to bring the color uo into the fairing, and never did as it turned out.
