Default Patch front tire ?

Have a Sporster with a slow leak in the front tire, which can be patched . There is only 1200 miles on this two year old tire would you patch or just buy new for safety reasons ? Good tread on the tire also .

I'd patch it from the inside, re-mount and balance it. If it was a tube tire I do all that AND replace the tube; I won't make a repair to a tube.

Max is spot on with what i wouldve said. Pull the tire from the wheel and patch the inside, if its a tubed tire get a new tube and make sure there is a rim strip to protect the tube from the sharp end of the spokes.

Putting a tube in a tubeless tire is probably not recommended. Patch the inside of the tire.

with rare exceptions, most modern tires are "tubeless". The purpose of the tube in laced wheels is because the spoke nipples would leak air. the rim strip is to protect the tube from puncture by the nipple.

Yep! As long as it’s done properly it should be just as safe as any other tire.
