Melted plastic on exhaust
Bought a Frog Tog rain suit and finally had to use it yesterday while riding through Ohio. I know, it's a cheapo and made of plastic. Of course I melted a hole in the right leg. This left crap on the exhaust pipe. Any advise on removing it and restoring the chrome finish before I start?

0000 Steel wool and WD-40 Heat the pipe up, soak the steel wool in WD-40. This will take it right off without scratching the chrome

Heat exhaust up and use wet rag to wipe plastic off.

She's shot...time for that exhaust upgrade.
JK, in addition to above recommendations, you can take a butter knife and gently scrape away the thick stuff, but sometimes bug/tar remover will get most of the goop. Good luck.

Heat the pipe up, spray oven cleaner on a clean rag and wipe the stuff off the pipe.
I've had to do this a couple of time, seems to work very well.

Nothing works best than carburetor cleaner and a rag. Comes off like nothing. Make sure the pipes are cold.

Best of luck but this does make me laugh about all the people that use frog togs. Too bad the title of the thread can't be renamed.

This works good and does not scratch the chrome.

At least frogs togs is better than wearing the time tested leaf bag rain suit.
