Didn't you read the story? (#6 above). The damn things cause potholes. So the next time you hit a pothole you can think how lucky someone else is with his gremlin bell...

Given the number of pothole around here we must have a total shitload of gremlins fallen off bikes!
I think of it as a cool tradition & story... So, what if you buy a scoot from a stranger that has a bell on it?? Leave it, take it off, or??
i left mine on the heritage i just bought. figured bad juju to remove it? I also never knew you werent supposed to buy your own bell, After I watch a couple buy their own.
I can't say that I believe in such things as the power of a Gremlin Bell. However, about 3 months ago I purchased a 2012 Dyna FXDC with 1,200 miles on it. A couple of weeks later I noticed a GB dangling from the front lower frame. Upon closer examination I saw that it had a fire dept. logo and since I am not a fireman I removed it. Within another week I was out riding and stopped to get a drink at a small store in the countyside and when I tried to start the bike, nothing. Had to have it towed to the dealer. A new BCM and $600 later it is working fine again and have had no more problems so far. No, I did not put it back on or get another one.
