I did a lot of research about this

The proper words are "I bought this bell for you. If you're as dumb as me, you'll put it on your bike. Ride safe."

Rumor has it the person who thought of the Gremlin Bell also came up with rabbit foot key chains, printing dealer names on the back of tee shirts & is richer than the Catholic Church.

It's hard to believe that in 2018 AD people are still 1000 AD superstitious!

I think of it as a cool tradition & story... So, what if you buy a scoot from a stranger that has a bell on it?? Leave it, take it off, or??

Just so happens my bikes have bells. Not a huge thing just a thing.
Falls under the category - If You Have to Ask;

Pretty sure there are disclaimers on the protective powers;
Protection may be limited or voided by LED Accent Lighting, excessive Chrome, Cup holders, Get back whips, Pirates in training, Leather Shinier than the bike, After Firing at Dump Trucks etc...

I've wondered about that rabbits foot thing for good luck. How can it be good luck if the rabbit lost its own foot?

I think leaving it is in order. Don't mess up what is working well assuming all is working well. And superstitiously, if it comes as a package and once the GB goes on....."lave it" just feels right.

Meh, you probably should have rented a Tuxedo before presenting it to your riding buddy, that would have made it more formal.

You know, I wonder if the GB protects you from getting hurt when off the bike....I shoulda' wore one around my neck and maybe I wouldn't have missed that first step and broke my hip.

Maybe hint to my g/f to get one with a chain and wear the damn thing(it's supposed to be a gift)...of course now I'm a day late and a dollar short to worry about it.

Never had a gremlin bell, and never had gremlins. I think they’re scared of all the other rattles my bike makes.
