Default Cracked rim

Any of you guys ever seen your back rim cracked. Bike gas 65000km on it and my 5th tire. Just installed a new tire did a trip down south. When I came home did some polishing and noticed the back rim was cracked. Any idea what would cause that thanks

That looks more like it is dented in rather than cracked, if I am looking at it correctly.
There is a mark on the tire where it hit something really hard.

If it wasn't a pot hole, could be that your spokes aren't tensioned incorrectly.

Who installed your tire? Could be damaged during the tire change.

I can’t tell what kind of rim it is from the photos. Is that a steel rim or the aluminum “profile” rim?

I have heard of the steel rims cracking like that. I’ve not seen it personally, but I read here about a bad batch of rims some years back that failed like that. They can also crack from pitting and corrosion from the back side.
