I like that method. Used it once when an ******* cut me off at the final spot in a parking lot.
Back in the good old days when cars had distributors you could pull the main wire.

Pulling the fuel pump relay works just as well, the issue nowadays is raising the hood.

Yah. Those tire irons leave ugly marks.

The only thing i can seriously think would warrant you pulling out a gun and firing it on someone in the street would be if they had a knife and were running at you.
What if the guy you just flipped off follows you into a parking lot and jumps out with a tire iron in his hand?

What if there's a knife in his hand? Or a pipe? Hammer? Gun?

Or it's a circus car full of hoods wanting to teach YOU to flip them off.

What if you weren't the young stud you think you are now, and you live to be old enough that you're not quite as bad a badass as you are now?

What if you are disabled and can't go all Jean Claude Van Damme on your attackers?

People who pretend not to know why other folks might carry have no sense of preconception.

Cool Smilar experience, better result...

Had a lady jam in front of me doing about 70 in a 45 mph zone, nail her brakes and hang a right in front of me {I was in the right of 3 lanes} and also planning a right turn as indicated by my turn signal and brake lights... DUH! I was headed to the local drugstore and lo and behold so was she. I removed my ATGATT amd calmly approached her in the store fully aware that we were both on numerous vdeo cameras...

I told her she needed to be more aware of and give additional room to motorcycles pointing out {firmly but politely) that she had nearly killed me making her erratic right turn. I know you saw me {I was wearing my Hi Viz yellow helmet and my Dyna had a modulating headlight and 50 halogen driving lights} then I turned and walked away without further comment getting only the deer in the headlights stare from her.

I was re gearing up a few minutes later in the parking lot when she apporached me and sincerely apologized promising to be more careful. I thanked her and rode away hoping I had actually gotten through to her and that maybe, just maybe, some other biker would fair better the next time they crossed paths.

This went fairly well but if had not I was covered by the fact that my actions were on video... if you are going to have any potential confrontatioin keep this in mind. Gas stations, most retail stores etc film everything and BS statements to the cops refuted by the security camera footage can easily lead to charges {filing a false police report... that sort of thing}. I do not seek confrontations but given the opportunity will speak up in a controlled situation in the hope of preventing it from happening again.

As always... Opinions and YMMV.

When ppl ask me why I carry, I tell them "Because I can." <-- I was told by a retired LEO that is the best answer to give.

Sounds good to me. (Although it id none of their damn business.)

The majority of us here go riding to relax and unwind. Don't give anyone out there the power to ruin your ride or day.

Be safe out there.

A few weeks ago I was so pissed and wound up I just about dumped my bike right out of the driveway. I shut it down and took a few moments to find my calm before heading out. Do not ride angry.
