a buddy of mine can create shirts for me at cost... $3/shirt, $5/screen. So if you wanted 10 shirts with three colors, it would cost about $45 total. I've never gotten anything from him yet so I don't know if the quality is any good, but its his business so I HOPE so.

Thanks on the info for possible t-shirts. GConklin...could you copy the pic that Bluerose's daughter came up with (the elephant) and send it to your friend in No.Cal, see what he thinks and if it could be done reasonably. The pic would be on the back, possibly the HD Forums logo over the left pocket area.
Maybe Bluerose or someone can check on getting an "official" okay from HD forums to use their logo. In writing of course...
If anyone else has an idea for a picture for the event, send it on to Bluerose.

darn it, I spoke too soon. He was doing it just for me for that price. I feel real bad about my quick-step to offer it up. He said he'd do it for maybe $10-15 for my buddies though. If you're still interested, let me know.
My sincere apologies

k... if you can email me the file (each color in its own layer), # of shirts (and sizes), if you want a pocket, I'll send it off to him for a quote.

In my experience with run t-shirts (for our group down here) there wasn't any real need for a pocket, and most of the demand was for lg/x-lg for the guys, md/lg for the ladies. A good idea for the first run would be to get an advanced order with size and payment (if there is a total price per shirt known), that way Bluerose doesn't have to come up with the initial cash outlay...unless she has a bundle of it just laying around the house...
Oh...also make sure the t-shirts are "Heavy weight" version, they'll hold up under the wear and washings alot longer. Down here we got shirts that had "Bayside" label as a brand. I'm sure the t-shirt guy knows all this but it is good to ask specifically for the heavier version when ordering.
It would be hard for specific sizes on the first quote but he should be able to give you a minimum number for a specific price based on the colors you want and the weight version of the t-shirt, also whether you want long or short sleeve.
I also just checked on a pic size. It should be no smaller than a 10 x 10 inch square for the back picture, this includes the pic and the lettering. Our t-shirts we made here for our group is right at 10x10 and it fits good.
