You'll probably want to sell all your skirts, dresses, makeup and jewelry. Also, you'll have to adapt to sitting on a seat with ***** under you.

This is true, my Dyna is often mistaken for one of those girly Sportsters.

Many newer HD riders have a pretty shallow historic view of the brand

Not at all. I just revel in how so many can get so twisted over so little.

I think those that are indoctrinated to think and at a sporty is a lesser bike have a lesser understanding of momentum then I do.
The K model was a racing bike and the Sporty lineage goes back to that, a purist that wants to feel the road,do the road.
Yea sure, lots buy a Sportser as their first bike because they are cheaper.
The 4 cam arrangement is far superior then HD has ever done with its big BT brothers and now is paying the ultimate price of saving a buck.

I'm with you, the Sportster was my lust and still is. Fond memories of Then Came Bronson have never left me.
I still have this very dog eared issued of Cycle magazine, read over and over in my youth.

I have owned lots of bikes.
I rode an iron head coast to coast and back right after Nam.
Some fond memories of that trip!
These people that want to sound arrogant come off ignorent when they put dwn what they do not know.
A Sportster is only a lesser bike in the hands of the operator.
Michal Parks?
I remember well, and the chuke (hat)
If HD had put half that much effort into the Vrod, it would have ended up its best seller.
