Default Kind of a wake up call

So Ive had dreams and visions of a street glide for years now.
Sold my 05 sporty 1200C to gather the money to buy one.
Found a '14 limited for a steal.
I have the money.

Took it for a test ride. and besides the coolness factor, the comfortable seat and the stereo i was unimpressed.

Shifting was a little cumbersome but Im told that can be adjusted. My right leg cramped up at an intersection. When I got on her she seemed to bog a little.
This is a really good deal and I hate to pass it up but I cant see spending the money on something Im not in love with.
I was totally expecting to get back from my ride, giddy and forking over my money. I ended up telling him Im not sure.

Do any tourings come with forward controls? THe way the front fairings are on the limited I dont see it possible.

The only thing I suggest is keep looking and test ride different models in the touring family until you find what you like, deals are to be had all around, Remember touring bikes are not the sporty you use to zip around on.

rk classic.

A Limited is not a Street Glide. Keep looking. As mentioned, there are deals out there if you're patient. FWIW, my '14 Limited doesn't bog down.

The "coolness factor" of a touring bike???
That is some kind of funny. Yeah that's exactly why I bought a limited.

I rode my Super Glide for two years and then I bought my Road King. I thought I'd made a mistake after the first few rides but I grew to really enjoy the difference. I'm still riding my Road King.

Me as well I went from a 2000 Wide Glide To a Road King, and I missed the Snot out of the Wide Glide so I started chunking crap off of my Road King till I had a bike that only death will separate me from it.

Perhaps I just shouldve said "looks" but to me its a cool looking bike. (Hence "coolness factor")
Sorry if you dont think your bike is cool.

I will keep looking. I will try a street glide and if its the same experience (to me) as the Ultra then I feel the touring bike is not for me.

was it a LOW? they have lots small parts that are diff, like the seat pushes you forward.

don't buy if you don't LOVE IT. if he can't sell it, you cannot resell it later.

shop more, and pray about it. may seem weird, but most of us get more enjoyment out of our scoots than anything else.

The sensation of "bogging down" may have been the EITMS going active.

Hell, you're only 48. You're not ready for a Geezer Glide just yet.
