Hi there, does anyone know a good place to get the leather tank piece for a Softail. Are they called bibs?
something after market, and a bit different.

They're easy to make yourself if you want to try some DIY. Tandy Leather has everything you need. End result will be a very cool and unique tank bib of your own design for about the same $$.

 

I'm not sure what a bib is worth to buy. but by the time I buy and ship everything. and probably screw the first one up I'm not sure it would be worth it. but thanks for the name. I usually am fairly diy. I will definitely keep them in mind when I weigh it all up.

 

All I can think that you may be talking about is a leather trim to cover the tank console? If so check out a forum sponsor, Captain Itch. They make excellent leather products.

Handmade ones are sweet. When i bought my dyna the owner threw in a custom made tank bib he had... was made with gator hide and had a small piece of snake skin in the middle. It doesnt have any markings on it to show who made it so im assuming it was hand made by someone.

Hey Captain, do you guys mark your bibs somehow? I really wouldnt mind finding out who made it. The stitching is even leather around the outside of it. Ill grab it and post a picture in a little bit.
