Default Sport Bikes and Harleys

My son and i "debate" this subject MANY, many times, and i'm sure it's been discussed on this forum NUMEROUS times, but id like to see other's opinions, as well...

My son, Nate, who rides a GSXR says the "Haaaarley" riders are the "snobs" and the ones who never initiate the "wave" and my personal feeling is the Harley folks almost always will wave first, (even when i rode a metric, for many years, HD people always waved to me) regardless of your ride and it's the sport bike 'kids' who don't wave. We ride a lot together, yup the Dyna along side the Gixxer, bridging the "gap", and as a pair, i'd say 90% of the time, all riders wave, but solo, unless i wave first, ususallythe crotch rockets won't/don't, and vise versa, he says the Harley folks don't. So, in your opinion, who's snobbier, Harley people or Sport people and why do you guys think that is? j/c....

Here in Italy we don't use to wave, that's why I didn't understand what you mean at first.
By the way, I disagree with Nate, because I don't think Harley riders are the "snob" of the club.

In my years of riding, after passing, talking and riding with others, I believe the BMW riders as a group has the highest % of snobs. This is my opinion only. As far as a wave, to each there own.

Harley riders around here almost ALWAYS wave. Few Sport bikers do, most don't that I've come across.

So many damn bikes around here now the waving thing is really getting a bit too much. I don't wave half the time anymore just becuase I'm passing another bike like every 15 seconds.

I second the BMW comment, I wave they seldom wave. Mostly I seesport riders don't initiate a wave to me but when I wave to them most will wave back. Too many folks playing to many head games. They worry that if they wave the other guy won't or they'll waive to the wrong type of bike and so on. I do what I wantand don't care if the other guy waves back or not. Some folks don't like to wave, that's just their way as waving is mine. Being in the midwest we tend to wave more in pickups and I guess bikes. You wave in some parts of the country and folks wonder what you're up to.

Oil and water.....years back we would never wave at a ricer,,,the ricers would always think their bike was better,,and would trash talk harleys,,,,times are changing...
