Power commander v tunig
Sirs, new bee here. Have a 2008 ultra classic, 3.5 Rhinehart slipons & stock jugs & heads. I had a lifter go down, and since the mechanic was getting into the cam chest for the repair, he suggested that I install S&S 570 cams, lifters, pushrods, bearings. Also installed the power commander 5.... it really runs good from 3500 to 5500 rpm’s, but the few mileage is terrible, 24 miles a gallon, and when you shift into six gear at 80 miles an hour get dogs out until you shift back into fifth gear. He installed everything, but I have a feeling he put in either the wrong cams, the wrong tune, Or both. I cannot find a power commander five map for my application. Help

They're out there,, you just have to jump through a few hoops. You will need the software loaded to you lap top to make it work.
Check the top two links found here,, and spend the time you need to get it done. It is not/nor will be a simple click and feed from a link off this forum,, you will have to have the capability to find, down-load to computer, then up-load to the PCV the map you choose.

Thanks guys. I know a REAL tuner is here in wisconsin. Fuel Moto in Little Shute ,WI. I will try a nd make contact on Monday. I am just so frustrated because of the earnest cash that I spent. Considering everything replaced, I do not know if $1500.00 was to much to pay an independant, but that is what it cost. Just want to ride, thats all

Honestly, I went round and round with the PCV and after tinkering around with it myself to no satisfaction I finally spent $400 cash money on a Dynotune with a tuner who was highly recommended by my local HD dealer. Well that was money poorly spent. The tune he gave still had the bike not running optimally, at least I wasn't satisfied. I finally pulled the PCV and put a Power Vision on with a map Jamie sent me. A few autotune runs and the bike, now with 60,000 plus miles has never run better. Oh and I put my own cams in and went with S&S 551 Easy Starts and absolutely love them. Best money I've spent on the bike. Had to upgrade the clutch after the cams but all in all very satisfied with the performance. I get around 34-38 MPG's depending on the ride.
