I'm looking into getting my husband a custom 3D etched Derby Cover for his new Street Glide. Because he's a singer in an ACDC tribute band, I'm thinking of a pic of Bon Scott, with "ACDC" on the top edge "Ride on Bon" on the bottom edge. This seems like the best location. Are there other options for something like this? Thanks.

Glad to hear good things about mountain machine. I've been in touch with them via email. Expensive but hard to put a price on something so unique. Also like the fact it doesn't permanently alter the bike and can be replaced with stock if he ever trades.

 

If you want a cool picture cover, check out venomimaging.com out of New Hampshire. Reasonably priced and powdercoated matte or gloss. They have tons of designs and can put any AC/DC picture you want on a derby and/or points cover as long as the picture is in jpeg format that you can email. They will supply the cover so you can keep the stock. They do real nice work. I have great gothic gargoyle covers on my bike. Picture is a bit small, but that's the points cover

 

I'd go with Angus Young. He was always the real star of the show.

 

Just my opinion. If my wife purchased an etched derby cover for my bike she might be disappointed if it didn't suit my taste and never made it on the bike. My bike is personal to me the way I want it. Some may be different.

I love Waylon, Willie, Kris and Johnny, but wouldn't want "The Highwaymen" etched on a derby cover.
