Harlye Cruise
Has anyone been on the Harley cruise? If so I am curious how it was, cost and what the rides on the stops were like as well as the procedure for loading and unloading your bike. I am interested in going but would like to find out more from those who have experianced it. thanks

Wow - I just can't see this being fun for a few reasons- I know the Islands very well and traffic is horrible in Saint Martin and Puerto Rico just to name 2 - In St Thomas they ride on the opposite side of the road and do it badly - Jamaica won't let anything in bigger then 600cc and there are permits and customs issues all over - Waiting for your Bike to come off the ship has got to be torture plus waiting while they take it to load it back on the ship - Plus the gas stations are tiny and tough to get in and out of and ya are not really sure what you are getting - Hopefully someone will chime in and prove me wrong but having worked the cruise ships I say if you wanna ride your scoot then ride - If you wanna cruise on a ship take a cruise - if you wanna do both, Good luck and tell us how it was when ya get back!

I found a place at ETA travel and it looks like you get to drive your own bike on and off the ship and they let you get off first before the other people on the ship. You also have to option to go on your own or on a guided tour of the island and the have set up special gas stops. Formal night is leathers from what I have read. Just looking for more imput from those who have done it. Thanks for all the opinions so far.

I have seen advertisements for this cruise. I wouldn't mind such a thing just to for the mingling (is that spelled right..??) thing. I have been on a few cruises, and loved it. I would think it would be a great time, being around other people with the same interest. Bikes or no bikes. Packing leathers might be an experience in itself. I think it would be worth looking in to, too.

I think I am going to try it. It wont be until late 2006 or early 2007 though since I have other plans already for early 2006. Will let you know how it was.
