Just another example of old paint when it's been taken care of. I agree, power tools may be the choice for large suface detailers, but nothing gets into the nooks and crannies like a human hand.

I disagree. No one can polish paint better by hand than a machine. No way around it. Now, some people can mess paint up with a machine also. But with the right technique, not even a discussion

All I'm trying to say is, without completely removing the "tins", tank, fenders, bags, side covers, etc. It's easier to maintain the hard to reach areas with the human hand, for the occasional polish.

BTW, I'm a bike geek, not an auto geek.

Purple Deuce, Bike looks good. I'm surprised you used the Rupes blue pad. That pad slings all over and is an aggressive compounding pad to boot. I would have liked to see if you had any micro marring after that. I pretty much use the Yellow pads for polishing.

Eagle fan, I've used the Car Pro gloss pads with essence and essence plus with nice results.

Some guys I message on the detailing forums have also had great results with the gloss pads. With Essence and other polishes. I Have some Reflect I would like to try with that pad on my Flex.
Good to hear you like them

I didn’t notice any marring, but it could have been there and the cosmic primer cleaned it up (it had a little bite to it). I went with the blue pad to help remove the old coating a little quicker

Wolfgang Uber coating, it didn’t really do as much as I had hoped

I bought that on a friend's new silverado, he bought it on sale. Application was easy. My avalanche and his silverado are white and the 22PLE defiantly looked better then the uber.
Not bad but not top of the coating world
