I would definately go with the Low Rider, especially if it felt better to her. I have an 03 Low rider, I'm 5'7" and it fits me like a glove. Put one of those clutch kits on there and I bet she'll be glad you chose the Low Rider!

Having had a Sportster and now having a Dyna I my wife would ride I would get her a Dyna for the followiing reasons:
Dyna has a lower center of gravity and is easyer to handle than a top heavy Sportster.
Sportsters have poor resale value because there are so many for sale from people moving up to a bigger bikes.
Dyna especially the 06-07 have 6 speed transmision and ride better at highway speeds than a Sportster.

My wife had a 1200 sportster that had been lowered 2", she liked it but then we sold that and she got an 03 Low Rider, she really liked that, said it was much more comfortable and a lot easier to ride.

Buddy of mine who rides a bagger bought his wife a LR - also got her a honda to learn on - so she's not riding the hd yet... but he is - I haven't seen his bagger since he picked up the lowrider -
Good Luck -

Get the best deal for a dyna you can. Just dont spend too much. 88s and 5 spds are old hat by now, but still sweet. You probably can find acool 06 (88 cu in) under warranty with low miles for a relativly paltry sum, esp. superglide. You just cant have mine. My .02
