I watched that over and over and I can’t for the life of me figure out what caused the gray car to swerve over like that...insane.

Here’s what I’m thinking. If you watch the very first few seconds, as soon as that car comes into frame you can see it shimmying side to side right before he loses it left. While that traffic was running bumper to bumper, you can also see a decent gap between the oncoming car and the box truck in the back that comes up at the end of the video. I’m thinking that grey car passed the slower moving box truck and had to cut back in quick so they didn’t hit that yellow van up ahead of the bike.

The quick cut in, speed, overcorrection, and probably shitty tires caused that car to lose it.

These days you can assume eyes on smart phone instead of the road.

Much spookier than mine but it reminds me of a trip to Sturgis one year. Cruising down the highway, trailer in tow behind the bike, coming up on a pickup truck full of furniture, assumed to be "moving". About 5 car lengths behind when his dining table and 2 chairs fall out of the back. I thought we were toast but when the table hit the road, it split like that parting of the red sea and I only had to move over a foot or so to slide right through the middle of scattering wood, table/chair debris. The guy riding behind me followed me through and when we pulled over to check our shorts, he told me I cleared the mess with about 2" on either side of the trailer.

My trailer, pulling into the Buffalo Chip:

It hit's you when you get off the bike, the legs are rubber bands. Had one as close on a back mountain road coming out of Colorado, still don't know how we didn't bounce of the rock wall or the guys grill, gal that was with me did fine till we stopped then she came unglued. Was all I could do to get her back on the bike the next day. Got home 2 days later and that was the last I ever saw of her.

^ That massive flood of adrenaline can do some amazingly weird **** to your body and senses. I’m sure she’s never ridden again, or will.
