Summer leather conditioning for my riding jacket

I don't think it's a joke...but one thing about it that can be taken seriously is that when you lay in oil or grease, heat is your friend. What I like to do is wait for a nice hot day, hang the jacket, chaps, what have you, in the hot sun...then introduce the oil or grease to the leather...and leave it in the sun for a while...the oil or grease then goes right into the leather...

But I honestly don't think ya gotsta worry about mink oil, or any leather conditioner, flying off in the wind. Unless, of course, you put it on naugahyde...

When I was young and starting out I used vasoline (on my leather jacket) with positive results. I guess they all work but I have not tried K-Y jelly (on my leather jacket).
Choosing leather conditioner is like choosing motor oil .... You really didn't go there, did you? :>)
