When Do 2019's Hit Dealers?

One ordered his in the Cranberry Red color and the other ordered his in the standard Livid Black from a different dealership because they claimed that they could get it faster.
Well the Red bike arrived and NO black bike!
Finally, after a couple of weeks of complaining, the Black bike appeared and all was well.
Later on, in the summer of '75 the three of us were on a trip from MI to FL and detoured through TN for a couple of for the cousin that had the black bike to visit his relatives.
We had parked all three bikes fairly near a lane that ran down into a pasture but was failry close to the house and yard near where we had pitched our tents and had our bonfire going.
For some unknown reason, the cousin with the black bike was worried about where we had parked the bikes so he got up and moved his farther down the path to the pasture.
Well, let's just say that we had a GREAT bonfire party and (at least I) slept like a log until the heat of the sun awakened me the next morning!
I hear the cousin (that owned the black bike) ranting in a very loud voice so we got up to discover that a farmer had came to either drop off or pick up a cow and had backed down the path towards the pasture and had backed into the black bike ;(
Turned out that the damage wasn't too bad, just a dent in the front fender.
However, it did reveal a very interesting fact. That "black bike" had started life as a Cranberry Red bike and had been re-painted!!!
Kind of funny how things sometimes work out in life.
The Cranberry bike in long gone (stolen out of my cousins garage in '81)
The bike that I had at that time ('75 FLH) got traded in on a new '76 FXE in late '75.
And the "Black, previously Cranberry Red" bike......was "totaled" in '89 and my cousin bought it back from the insurance company.
The engine (upped end) was rebuilt once and he put a lot of miles on that bike up and until I sold him my '92 Heritage in '94.
Well, the '92 Heritage got traded in on a new Tri-Glide a couple of years ago, and the "Black" bike.....well. it is still in my cousin's basement and ever once in a while he talks about having it redone!

One of salesmen looks at me and says "Oh, a couple Old A-holes on HDForums are ruining it for us"

I think the next Dealers meeting it will be more of a consolidation of Softail models with two / three new additions in the line and the same for the touring line up.
