ABS Module recall and cost to replace

I looked through the manual of my 2017 car and brake fluid isn't even mentioned in the maintenance schedule, through a 150,000 miles.

Subie, Honda and Toyota have a call out for brake fluid replacement.
Not for the ABS, the rest of the system.

In my old bike I used to flush the brake fluid every year or 10,000 miles. Took me about a half hour in my own garage to do.
With this new bike, I have to make an appointment, make an 80 mile round trip to the nearest dealer (yes, the nearest dealer is 40 miles away), and waste an entire day waiting for their service department to do what I used to be able to do myself. All because I don’t have a laptop computer and the proprietary software to cycle the ABS module.

Everything is a “small price to pay” until you have to pay it.

I'd like abs. Just don t want to deal with dealer.
Plenty of people more than 40 miles from dealer. You are talking vacation day to bring bike in.

ABS Bypassed
I came across this post, while searching on line for my ABS ordeal: I took my 2011 FLHTK/Ultra Limited in to have new tires installed a few weeks ago. While there, the service writer mentioned a recall for the braking system. ‘Flushing and adding new brake fluid’ Upon completion, I was told my bike’s ABS module had been bypassed. Needless to say, this was news to me! This would have been important (need to know) information for a seller, to pass on to a buyer! Good thing I haven’t had to brake hard etc, during the (almost) 2 years I’ve owned the bike!
