Drilling the bottom of the breather only allows the incoming air to bypast the 180 turn and shoot straight up thru the screen that helps remove more oil after the 180 turn..
But the rest are alast, tin men saleing their wears or those drinking their coolaid.

The umbrella valves prevent the intake of air, not the expulsion of it. The idea is to create a partial vacuum in the crankcase etc. So when they fail, they would fail at preventing the intake of air. The system would still be able to expel the air (and any oil/water content therein). The umbrella valves themselves have a rep (so I've read) for not lasting too long before they start to fail. That's why I added a Krankvent. Actually, from what I've read, the umbrella valves can just be removed/tossed when using a Krankvent.

I went with a hose, no catch can, After a day or two you wont even notice the hose is there. It doesn't drip enough to warrant a catch can.
Here is what I did https://www.hdforums.com/forum/gener...n-removal.html

I bought the Breather bolts. Look cool but they are a mess. If you clean the foam every time you ride maybe, but who wants that.
So DK are straight up guys!
I bought the hose kit with the filter. So much better! But still you have to clean the sponge.
So this year I just ran the tube down the the lower frame in the front.
We have a winner....so far!
