Default Need Quick Advice on Buying Ultra Limited

Hi all,

I have been doing all kinds of haggling this week, and now I need to decide between two bikes:
2015 Ultra Limited with 16,000 miles
or
2016 Ultra Limited with 26,000 miles.

Both in in mint condition, and both would cost me the same amount of money.

Feedback please?? Thanks!!!

I believe main difference is 2016 has the narrower primary cover. I don't believe much else different. Both same color and condition?

Really a toss up if you ask me. The 2016 were only 300 dollars more than the new price of 2015 so no real value difference. If you are shorter the 2016 will be easier to reach the ground with due to the narrow primary.

My brother has a 2015 and loves it. I did have a 2016 and we could not tell any difference between them other than the color. He had air intake, tuner and D&D 2-1 and was a little quicker!

Both would be gr at bikes. Buy the one you like best!

Good luck

The bikes are essentially identical, I'd buy the one with lower miles.

Two considerations in the 2015's favor - 1) lower total miles; 2) longer interval until you hit the major maintenance due in the 25K to 30K range. You'll have to do that major maintenance on both of them at some point, but you'll have a little more time before its due on the 2015. You might also check tires. Conceivably they both have pretty new tires on them because of the miles, but if either one pushed it a bit its likely the 2015. negotiate him down some if either is looking a a new tire set soon.

Since the M8s came out all of the twin cam touring bikes took about the same hit in value. Since the two choices are basically the same I'd go with the lower mileage '15.

Does the '16 have any warranty left?

I’d take the 15...lower miles.
