Default Old photo identification

Hello, I'm trying to identify the motorcycle in this picture of my father. The date as best as I can determine is the mid to late 1930s. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

By the look of the primary I would guess Knucklehead but can't see the motor very well.

J/K - That little bit of art-deco decal on the tank suggests '36-'38 EL

Nice picture of your Dad. I think the mid 30's looking at the bike. There are some knowledgeable folks here, or maybe just a lot of old guys. I'd also ad that his tie predates the 40's for sure. Don't see many suits astride HD's these days.

They’d just be branded as RUB’s (rich urban bikers) or posers by the so called “real bikers” lol.
