Default Warranty question regarding distorted brake rotors

I bought a used 2016 Road king with about 15000 miles (private deal, not dealer). It has warranty for about another month or so.
The front end shakes when the brakes are applied and I can see a pattern of polished/ slightly discolored areas on the discs swept areas.
So... My question is, Are warped brake discs getting replaced on warranty or denied?
I'd like an idea of how Harley handles disc replacements before I ride 3 hours round trip to the dealer.

Warranty is .007 runout on the rotors. Less than that, out of luck. At .006 you will still have the pulsing, but they wont replace them under warranty. Have them checked.

Depends on the dealer, but not usually.

Rotors are considered a wearable part ( like brake pads). So they don’t get warranty for a maintenance part.

Private sale, one more month of warranty, I’m betting no luck.

That is probably not from warped. Unless you are in some big mountains. With 15000 miles, it's probably from aftermarket too hard a pad. Doubt any wear item will be honored.
Spin the wheel and see if it really is warped with a $10 dial indicator from Harbour Freight. If it is true, hit them with some medium sandpaper just like pads rub and put some OEM pads on it. Will be like new.

Warped rotors rarely happen, its usually pad residue buildup or glazing. Use some emery paper on the rotors and that may do the trick.

I had one replaced under warranty. I suggest you take it to the dealer and have it checked.

Check with dial indicator and if it is the rotors use a large adjustable wrench to persuade them back into spec.

Actually warped rotors are quite common ... Lateral Runout, Variation in Parallelism ( thickness ) are a couple of the problems that would exhibit a surge, vibration or pulsation under braking ... Another contributing factor to a pulsation is excessive heat which can be more common when the brake material has worn to the point where it needs replacement ... less friction material less heat dissipated.

You probably have warped rotors. I wouldn't say that it's a common problem on the front of the touring bikes more like an epidemic. I have replaced 1 so far and need to replace both now. I have a set of new floaters on the way that will hopefully solve this once and for all. Some of my pals have also had this same problem which there are many threads on here.

If they are floating rotors, clean them well, place a single drop of a lightweight oil on the float rivets, this has worked well for me, I had the CVO in for service and the dealer told me the rotors were warped and informed me of the $500 replacement charges, I cleaned them with a toothbrush, put a drop of 3 n1 oil on each rivet, wipe off any excess with a paper towel, no more pulsing. Kinda funny, the next service, the dealer wanted to know who replaced the rotors for me.

By the way, a tire can cause similar symptoms.
