The dealer gave me a range for trade in. My front fender has rust issues, it's a 2-tone fender with a stripe, so not a cheap fix. They know about the rust. I have the walk away number in my head. We'll see.
I ended up riding over here early am (38 degrees...) and am chilling at a BK with some hot coffee until they open. My toes are just starting to warm up, ha ha!

yeah, not always.
when i traded in my 2010 road glide custom with 40,000 miles on it for my 2013 cvo, the dealer gave me more than i would have sold the bike for outright. they are an msrp dealer, so there was no difference on the selling price of the cvo. and with trade ins here in la, you don't pay sales tax on that amount. so in my case, got more than private sale, saved over $1700 in sales tax, and didn't have to try to sell on my own and deal with those hassles.

I hope you got the numbers you wanted to hear.
2 years ago today, I rode more than 150 miles one way in sub 50 degree temps with drizzle accompanying the last few miles in order to trade my 1200 Custom for my 72.
It was a miserable ride, but it had to happen then or it wasn't going to happen at all.
After numbers were finalized and all of the documents were signed, the clouds broke and it warmed considerably, just as it should be for a ride home on a new bike.
The ride home was a great ride... I hope you get the same results.
