Hahahahahaha! Me too! Twice! Guess I’m a slow learner...definitely not fun.

There was a thread here not long ago where a member put a camera inside the bars and the welds were horrible. Lack of fusion in places and over penetration at other places. I would not ride with them.

Yeah, that was me. The bars are on the bike now but have not had an opportunity to try them yet, probably this weekend. If they are not up to my expectations I will be looking at other options. I actually had another set already at the house when I changed my mind because the bars on the bike now have more pullback. Hoping I don't have buyers remorse. Trust me that I will be tugging on them vigorously before ever taking a ride.

A good tack weld will hold up to shaking back and forth sometimes. Long term metal fatigue is another story.

So many possibilities for metal fatigue. Welding comprises of heat and chemistry. Volumes have been written on the subject. That said I have a set of 16" Yaffe's on my RG.

I have been in metal fabrication my entire life. There is no way I would ever ride a bike with “Z” bars. The welds are too small for the job at hand, many are ground after weld. Without a proper cut and etch there is no way to know what you have.
