One issue that I can think of is that HD will possibly need to redesign the Twin Cam to the extent that it no longer looks, feels and sounds like a Harley to meet EPA regulations, this would solve that problem. The best timefor a company to be purchased is when things are financially the most rosey,I can easily picture this happening.

 

It would be a sad day in America if that every happens.
However I don't think it wouldget bythe trade commission. If it ever didhappenit may be time to start thinking about aVictory motorcycle.

I agree with the point about the trade comission not letting it fly - the resulting leviathan of a company would have too much of the market for the federales to go along with it.

At this point I worry more about what the EPA and People's Republic of California is doing to HD than Honda.

 

They let Exxon and Mobil merge, the #1 and #2 largest oil companys.

 

And at the same time I think I "SHARTED!!!!"

It will never happen, they can`t pronounce their r's. If they did it will have to be renamed a HAWLEE DAVIDSON.

 

I don't think there is any way it will happen.

First off the FTC would not let that go. A Harley Honda merger would give them over 60% of the market. The next nearest would be Yahama with under 20%. Hell they have broken up companies because of stuff like that.
