The thing that has changed is the number of cars and trucks on the road have skyrocketed in the last 20 - 30 years and the drivers have become dumber and more aggressive than ever.

I see cars every day whipping from lane to lane with no turn signal on or even a clear open lane. These wrecks are bad enough when it is a car into another car, but now days it is into a large number of motorycle's (causing serious injury or even death).

Glad you enjoyed the ride.
Now that's just annoying. Some of us just have sunburn where the hair used to be.

I'll wear a helmet when it's required, or if the weather's nasty, or if my head happens to be the only convenient place to transport the helmet.

Love that one.

I use this one to describe myself from time to time:

"If you're gonna be dumb, it helps to be tough".

full face all the time, even in helmet-law-less states. Ive seen what can happen without one...even at slow speeds. I'd like to avoid that for me and my family.

Also I find it actually keeps me cooler since the sun isnt beating on my face or head. Full speed in the rain without feeling like rocks are hitting my forehead. I honestly don't see any negative and much prefer it.

I have never had a problem with anyone not wanting to wear a helmet. I do have a problem with jerks who think it's their job to force everyone else to wear a helmet. Those people don't understand freedom.

I ride without a helmet when I feel like it (really hot muggy weather) and if it's legal. Otherwise I wear a helmet. If I kill myself, well that's just too bad.

Aye! Watching others leads to a life of frustration and un-fulfilment.

Not unless the state I am in requires it but I just started wearing a skull cap for sun protection.
