Q baffles in V&H Big Shots
I recently installed a set of these on my Heritage and although they sound good, they are loud. So loud I fiund myself creeping out of my quite neighborhood and getting nervious around cops.
I am considering installing Q baffles in these pipes.
Can anyone give me a report on these baffles. I don't want to lose that deep Harley rumble, just tone it down a notch.
Thanks for any imput.

RE: Q baffles in V&H Big Shots
I am installing Big Shot Longs with the quiet baffles tomorrow on my 06 FLSTCI. While it's true that the quiet baffles aren't all that quiet, they do take the edge off the sound, increase the rumble factor, and reportedly add aa little torque at the bottom end.
With pipes, it isn't always the volume that gets you (and those around you); it can also be the frequency of the sound. Low rumbling is a lot easier to take sometimes, at a given volume, than a harder-edged sound. For example, I've had Rush pipes with both 1.75" and 2" baffles in them. The 2" baffles were clearly louder than the 1.75", but the lower frequency was definitely easier on the ears than that put out by the 1.75" baffles. I got that from Rush's marketing guy, and he was right.
By the way, you didn't mention whether you had the Big Shot Staggered or the Big Shot Longs. The Staggereds are definitely louder than the Longs in general.

I have the Big Shot staggered and the somewhat harsh, straight pip sound is what may be offensive. I think that answers my question, thanks,

We ALL push the bike down the driveway into the street on early mornings.
...and on latenights, we ALLfly into the driveway, kill the engine and coast to the garage! Sometimes you get all the way there, other times you just gotta push it in!
The price of owning a HD with loud exhaust!
