Iron 883 purchase
So today I walked into my local Harley store, had some reservations about buying a bike. Especially once I realized that the $8,999 price didn’t include tax, tag, title, assembly, transport. Was told at the beginning that I wasn’t going to find a better deal than what was offered. Eventually I got the price to $7,700 base price and a $300 gift card to the store. Basically equating to $1,600 off. Is this a good deal or is it just basically what’s expected from a Harley-buying experience?

7700/8999= 85% of asking. at what point do we stop being resonable
a used 2016+ roadster is a better buy that a lame iron anyway. should be in the same price range.
how to be reasonable

All depends on the out-the-door price. When they take away from the MSRP they're more than likely going to jack up the doc fee assembly fee and delivery fee. Also keep an eye on the paperwork cuz what they tell you and agreed to you with and what ends up on the final paper can be different.

Did you also purchase any additional modification components? Pipes, seats, windshields, air cleaners, tuners, etc., extended warranty, paint protection, gremlin bell, get back whip, chrome Willie G. nut covers, fringe tassels, sissy bar, helmets, jackets, pants, chaps, boots, socks, ear rings, finger rings, nose rings, and HD underware, do-rags,?
If all of the above is included in your price, you got a smoking deal.
If you didn't buy any of that crap, you may be way too smart for this forum and HD ownership in general.
Welcome aboard.
