My BIL bought a wrecked one and rebuilt it (that's his thing). He drives it every now and then. He also has a dyna and a street glide, so the chopper doesn't get many miles on it...

My cousin had a Honda Fury and sold it within a year because of how terrible it was.

Seen several around here for 10 grand and no offers. Probably make more money taking them apart and selling the pieces.

Chopper have never been a "fad"... well built choppers are always cool.

If you're asking about easter egg colored motorcycles with huge rear tires and HUGE raked front ends that make them handle like ****, yea they were a fad.

Being spring, they're getting a dust off and people are putting them up for sale hoping the economy is better for toys

Very hard to sell without giving them away...many of them have big inch S&S motors and baker trans...I would buy one of those if the price was right to rob the drive train, and sell the rolling chassis for whatever I could get.

The ones with rev-tech motors and trans are worth whatever they are paying for scrap iron.

'01 Big Dog Mastiff here. Cost new $37,000. Last year sold with 13,000 miles for $5,500. Had to spend $3,000 to buy a trailer to haul it back from probably 20 electrical breakdowns a year, so figure about $10,000 in repairs over the years......good times! Fortunately I got married so I always had a more expensive, bigger nightmare I could point out as my dumbest investment. If the chopper movement comes back I would appreciate it if they pass me by this time around. My new scheme is to lose a lot of money on a new boat and a Nigerian investment I'm working on.

yeah, those early 2000's OCC style choppers sell for pennies on the dollar.....if they sell at all. The exact same fate big wheel baggers will suffer in a few years.

I've seen 3 of the tall frame choppers like a K9 with huge front wheels on them. I think they're trying to reinvent them into something more current so they can unload them as the "next big thing".

I have no love for the big front wheel looking abortions but at least they can be converted back to something desirable. I never cared for any of the factory "choppers" but I do like old school home-built choppers and bobbers.
