Why would oil be pouring out my oil tank, the lines are clear. H.E.L.P.
My oils coming back out of my tank,it’s pumping to the filter, thru the engine, back into the tank, but overflowing out the oil port, I pulled the line to the filter, but it’s pumping ok? What would make this happen,I am not rich, I have a 2004-1200 custom buell sportster, I don’t know diddly about this, it sat for 2yrs. The seller said, it fires up,runs good, it’s just pushing oil out the tank, any help would be greatly appreciated.

When you went back to riding did you check the oil level and found that it was empty. You filled it and now it does that?
The bike dry sumped while sitting. Very common on bikes that the oil tank is higher than the engine.
All the oil was in the crankcase and now it is full. Drain the oil out of the tank and briefly run the engine. If it was sumped the tank will fill with the oil from the crankcase.
I had an 11 XL that would sump just after a few days standing.
