I thought the bikes were a 50 state bike for a couple of years now

I was curious if any of you guys have heard of this... i went to the closest harley store around here which isn't many and a guy told me that in 08 they are going to have to be compliant with california which will hinder the power.. i dont have a clue what kind of rules cali has but i was curious if anybody has any info or heard anything about that.. i'm figuring this guy is just trying to cob me into buying a 07 before 08s bust out.. i dunno

well i dont know i live in kentucky so if cali wants to make everything flintstone powered i dont care as long as it dont bother me.. i'm ready to buy a road king but cant help but wait til 08 to see what else rolls out.. hope it's not just paint cause i plan on going with a custom job anyways

You know, the funny thing is they basically are. But the California bikes have a charcoal canister filter attached and they still have a "made for California" label. Without that label you cannot buy a bike and register it in CA until it has 7,500 miles. And if they catch you riding it without registration it is subject to forfeiture.
