Default Upgrade To A Sportster Roadster 1200?

Do you think it's a good choice changing a 883R for a Roadster 1200?
Anyone who made this step?

If that's all you're looking for, go for it. But if you are expecting vast improvements, go with a Dyna.

Picture what you want to be riding in a year or two down the road and get that. It's going to get expensive if every year you move up to another bike. Like with the 883....you probably wished you had gotten the 1200 to start with. Or maybe I'm wrong......

If all you're looking for is the power boost a 1200 will give you, you'll lose/spend a lot less money doing a good 1200 conversion on the engine in your 883.

Ditto!

Just do the conversion to the 1200 and you'll save a bunch of money and basically end up with a new engine!

Sorry if I stepped onany toes. I must havewrongfully assumed that Dareiuswas looking for a larger, more powerful, or in my case, more comfortable ride.

Please don't get me wrong, I think the Sporty is a wonderful bike. If I fit on one I would probably own one.

lol . no worries. I was really curious, though, if there are a lot of improvements when one moves up to a Dyna. I know they can be roomier, though.

Thanks.

I'm 6'4" so anything thatI can do that gives me a little more legroom is okay in my book. But as the Sportster goes, I just picked up a '94 883 for my girlfriend last night and road it home 50+ mi. and except forfeeling likea ton of cr*p in a 1/2 ton box, I had fun on it. Of course by the timeI got home my knees were a little stiff. Thank god it has highway pegs!!!

I thought a sportster 1200 was faster than a dyna.
