I'm not quite sure where y'all are getting these high numbers (maybe listing kilometers instead of miles) but this is what my best stock tire looked like after a little over 12,000 miles. Generally I get a lot less. This was the second stock Harley Dunlop on my Street Glide. The first one hardly made it to 8,000 miles:
Commander 2's I averaged about 8,000 each, and American Elite's as much as 12,000 miles.

I've got no idea how any of you are getting the fantastic mileage you claim. I've used virtually all of the brands and specific models listed above. My bike isn't as heavy as a bagger (it's an FXDL), I weigh 230# myself, so excessive weight isn't the reason. I rarely have a passenger as the GF rides her own bikes. Probably less than 100 miles per year. Tire pressure (cold) 36 front 41 rear. Checked and corrected before every ride during T-CLOCS.
I get typical fuel mileage, based on HD's published #'s. So that's normal.
Nope, I just don't get it. (But I sure wish I did!)
PS. I don't do wheelies/stoppies/slides nor burnouts with this bike.
