HD Museum visit
Made my first visit to the Harley Davidson Museum this last Saturday...
Man, what a great place and entertaining day. If you have not been, this is definitely a must see for anyone interested in motorcycles in general, let alone HD. The history is well told and displayed, as well as the cultural significance and role that HD has played in the U.S.
I was amazed to read that they had the foresight to start collecting every model year back in 1915, and continued that effort to this day. The archive area on the third floor is amazing to see, and what a blast that would be to sift through...
The video on the Buyback from AMF was good too. It made it more personal as the guys that were speaking were then shown in old factory photos of them at work in the plant. Well done.
The board track display gave a good feel for the crazy that is was...
With free entrance on a HOG membership, $20 bucks to get the wife in, a phenomenal meal in the restaurant, and a couple items from the gift shop, it was great entertainment for less than a $100.
Not sure what was my favorite part... so much cool in one place...
What have you guys enjoyed the most there???
